Position objective :

The Heavy Duty Mechanic, is responsible to fulfill a variety of service roles: repair and maintenance on all makes and models of equipment; including rebuilds, overhauls, PDIs, breakdown repairs, component change outs, technical diagnosis and troubleshoot in both field and shop environments

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Inspect machines to decelerate failures and determine their nature;
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace faulty components;
• Make sure the repaired item works well;
• Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance of machinery;
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times;
• Perform other duties related to his position.

Professional knowledge, skills and qualifications:

• Full class G driver’s license; drivers abstract required.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• Autonomy;
• Sense of organization, priorities management;
• Professionalism and ability to communicate with customers;
• Ability to work in team;
• Ability to work with computer tools;
• Good physical condition;
• Product knowledge, an asset.

Position objective :

Provide planning support to operations.

Main responsibilities :

• Plans, organizes and coordinates the project monitoring from start to finish, in partnership with the head of departments (engineering and production);
• Collects and enters data related to projects and reports to management;
• Plans and structures team meetings and takes notes during meetings;
• Creates a knowledge base on different projects (procedures, methods used, innovations, problems encountered) and ensures that lessons learned and corrective actions are available and consulted for future projects.
• Any other related tasks that may be similar to administrative tasks.

Position objective :

Ensure general maintenance of machine tools, tools, vehicles and various factory equipment.

Main tasks and responsibilities :

• Plan and carry out all maintenance work such as replacing parts, cleaning, lubricating etc. as well as performing all of the required repairs at:
  • Machine tools from the machine shop
  • Tools e.g. buffer, welder etc.
  • Company vehicles e.g. pick up, forklift
  • Various factory equipment e.g. overhead cranes, ventilation, lights

• All other related tasks which may resemble laborer tasks.

Cardinal Equipments is looking for a Customer Service Technician / Mechanic.

The person sought will diagnose mechanical and / or technical problems with the customer’s equipment and will be in charge of repairs. This person works in the factory and on the road.

Tasks and responsibilities

The principale tasks are :

• Install, inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components of customer equipment.
• Respond to customer’s mechanical and / or technical questions in person or remotely via phone / email.
• Train operators to operate the equipment.

Training and / or knowledge required

• Vocational studies diploma in stationary machine mechanics and / or heavy vehicle mechanics and / or electromechanics and / or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams as well as welding.
• Knowledge of the sawmill industry (an asset).
• Knowledge of written and spoken english (an asset)
