Position objective

Manufacture parts for factory-manufactured equipment and, when required, for direct sale to customers.

Give a professional image of the company by manufacturing precise and highly durable parts.

Tasks and responsibilities

The main tasks are :

  • Read and understand plans
  • Requisition the materials needed to produce the requested parts
  • Operate the various machine tools: lathe; grinding machine (milling); boring mill; drill ; groomer
  • Operate the various machining tools: the plasma cutting table; the digital machining center
  • Carry out regular maintenance of the equipment used
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy

HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC

Position objective :

The Heavy Duty Mechanic, is responsible to fulfill a variety of service roles: repair and maintenance on all makes and models of equipment; including rebuilds, overhauls, PDIs, breakdown repairs, component change outs, technical diagnosis and troubleshoot in both field and shop environments

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Inspect machines to decelerate failures and determine their nature;
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace faulty components;
  • Make sure the repaired item works well;
  • Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance of machinery;
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times;
  • Perform other duties related to his position.

 

Professional knowledge, skills and qualifications:

  • Full class G driver’s license; drivers abstract required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
  • Autonomy;

Electromechanic

Position objective :

The person sought will assemble the electrical panels of our equipment in the factory and will also participate in their installation and start-up at the customer’s site.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assemble panels.
  • Program PLCs (Omron, Allen Bradley or others).
  • Design electrical diagrams on a computer.
  • Participate in the installation and start-up at the customer’s site.

 

Required training and/or knowledge:

Head of maintenance

Position objective :

Ensure general maintenance of machine tools, tools, vehicles and various factory equipment.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities :

  • Plan and carry out all maintenance work such as replacing parts, cleaning, lubricating etc. as well as performing all of the required repairs at:
    • Machine tools from the machine shop
    • Tools e.g. buffer, welder etc.
    • Company vehicles e.g. pick up, forklift

Customer Service Technician / Mechanic

Cardinal Equipments is looking for a Customer Service Technician / Mechanic.

The person sought will diagnose mechanical and / or technical problems with the customer’s equipment and will be in charge of repairs. This person works in the factory and on the road.

Tasks and responsibilities

The principale tasks are :

  • Install, inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components of customer equipment.
  • Respond to customer’s mechanical and / or technical questions in person or remotely via phone / email.
  • Train operators to operate the equipment.
